| Iris,
a renowned Israeli designer and a graduate of Jerusalem's Bezalel
Academy, brings her love of nature's bounty and grace to each creation
which leaves her studio. |

| "All my paintings are taken directly from
things which I see and experience.
I can sit in a Rock concert and see the lighting and the smoke,
and suddenly I no longer hear the music, but only see the colors
and what I am about to paint later on"
The structure of the painting is an essential part of it. The eye
completes the sequence and so makes the observation more active,
expresses Dishon her attitude towards her work – not casual
drawings, but design in drawing, as she puts it. The sense of continuity
is created by the spots of color, which move on to the next drawing,
or, alternatively, by a subject sequence. In addition to the fact
we relate to each drawing as self defined painting, the combination
of a few drawings as a series creates another, larger painting,
with a designed richness. This provides the observer with a unique
aesthetic experience.
Dishon conceives her work as being a part of an overall designing
concept. In her paintings she does not tell a story, she portrays
visions and shapes of powerful visual presence, visions that make
a difference in the space they are in, and make it interesting.
